Riding Instruction
Learning to ride should be exhilarating. The key? Study with a qualified, experienced teacher.
JRAM Enterprises CEO Jill Montgomery is a Certified Horsemanship Association Level 3 riding instructor qualified to teach English including jumping and Western disciplines. She is also a Parelli Natural Horsemanship Level 2 graduate.
Jill started teaching as an assistant instructor in 1978. After a 5 year apprenticeship with World Champion Appaloosa trainer Sherry Miller, she honed her skills working with a wide variety of trainers and coaches, including such greats as Danish Olympian Olga Striegel and Western Horsemanship legend Monty Forman. Jill employs natural horsemanship skills learned from famed horsemen Julie Goodnight and Pat and Linda Parelli.
Whether starting riders in English huntseat or Western stockseat, Jill instills a strong foundation, using the natural aids, developing balance and building rider confidence. Jill's riders learn skills for a lifetime of riding pleasure.
Minimum student age is 7. Maximum student weight is 220 pounds.
Riding lessons with Jill can be conducted at her facility, the Arroyo Ranch in Pueblo West, CO using her school horses or the student’s horse. Lessons on a student’s horse can also be arranged at the student’s barn or riding stable within a 45 mile radius of the Arroyo Ranch.
